Sunrise

I heard this song today, and it was SOOO good. It's called Sunrise by Nichole Nordeman, and I must say that I couldn't help but think of our struggle with IF while listening. I think it's my new favorite song!!!

If I had the chance
To go back again
Take a different road, bear a lighter load
Tell an easy story

I would walk away
With my yesterdays
And I would not trade what is broken for beauty only

Every valley
Every bitter chill
Made me ready to climb back up the hill
And find that . . .

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You’re my horizon
You’re the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

There’s a moment when
Faith caves in
There’s a time when every soul is certain God is gone

But every shadow is evidence of sun
And every tomorrow holds out hope for us
For every one of us

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You’re my horizon
You’re the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

You alone will shine
You alone can resurrect this heart of mine

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You’re my horizon
You’re the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

You are sunrise

Thanks for sharing this song. I found your blog from the nest. Feel free to check out my blog if you'd like. I'm on Femara too, this is my first cycle.

RBC's Daily Bread talked about waiting today and I thought it made a good point. Not an original point, but at least put it in a new light:

We too must learn to view each delay as if it were "perfectly fine." Postponements are reasons to pray rather than grow anxious, impatient, and annoyed. They’re opportunities for God to build those imperishable but hard-to-acquire qualities of humility, patience, serenity, and strength. God never says, "Wait awhile," unless He is planning to do something in our situation—or in us. He waits to be gracious.

That helped me some. We can agree those virtues (humility, patience, serenity, and strength) are virtues worth having. And there is really no other way to get them but to have to wait and hang onto faith.

As difficult as it is, I'd rather have to wait on a child and be humble and patient than have one right now and be an impatient jerk.
